Fall bay and Mewslade bay loop from Rhossili Bay
A spectacular, circular walk at the western edge of the Gower Peninsula which passes the mythical Worms head, visits two secluded coves, and gives you some of the best coastal views that the peninsula has to offer.
If you are visiting Gowers most iconic beach and have some time to spare then this hike is a must do.
For the more adventurous amongst you, this walk can be combined with either the Worms Head walk or the Rhossili Down Loop for one epic day out.

The Route
From the car park at Rhossili head left and pass through a wooden gate onto a broad gravel track making for the Worm, following this path 1km until you reach the old coastguard lookout.
After admiring the Worm, turn left and follow the cliff path for about 0.75 mile (1.2km) until you reach Fall bay.
From here continue skirting around the coastal cliff path, until you reach Mewslade bay.
From Mewslade bay, head up the valley path keeping the stone wall on your right. After around 500m you’ll round a large rock, shortly after this there will be a path on your left heading up the bank through the ferns.
Follow this and after around 30m of climbing, you should see a wooden swing gate between two fields. Follow this path back up into the village of Middleton. From here turn left and follow the main road for around half a mile back to the car park.

Help support what I do
I created and I run this website in order to help inform, amaze, inspire people (for free) to get outside and explore the adventurous side of the UK.
Although I do run some google ads, I have limited them in order to make your experience on this website far more enjoyable. Because of that, I don’t actually make much money of this website.
So, if you did find this information on this page or website useful, why not give something back and buy me a coffee?
