Below is a list of all my current camera equipment and accessories.
Every item on this list I have purchased with my own money and I can wholeheartedly recommend.

The perfect hybrid full-frame mirrorless camera which is incredible for both still and video.

Sony ZV-E1
A full frame, professional grade video focused camera which packs a huge host of features into a very small body. It’s perfect for filmmaking and has become my camera of choice when capturing content outdoors and for clients.
Shoots 4K at 120 fps in 4:2:2, 10-bit colour
12MP sensor is the same as A7siii and FX3 and has incredible low light performance
Equipped with a dedicated AI chip, capable of advanced Autofocus which detects human eyes, pets, and a variety of objects, so your footage is always in focus.
Auto-framing and framing stabilisation features to keep your subject stable and centred in the frame.
Touch compatible swivel screen
Tamron 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6
An amazing do it all lens which has a huge focal range. This is on my camera 90% of the time and is the main lens I use for hiking and vlogging.
It’s small, lightweight, affordable, and incredibly versatile. Being able to go from 28mm to 200m in a turn of the wrist is a game changer.
Although it is not the sharpest lens out there, it’s still very good. So much so, that I have used it for both photo and video work for clients.
It’s also weather sealed and has a fast and accurate autofocus.
The only downside is its variable aperture, but i’d rather that than have to have to carry multiple lenses.
It is a lens I couldn’t recommend enough, especially if you’re a Sony shooter who travels or is regularly up in the mountains.
Sony 16-35mm GMII
My most recent purchase. This is now my go to wide angle lens for both professional work and vlogging. Its incredibly sharp and its relatively small and lightweight. The constant f2.8 aperture means you can get great depth of field alongside being able to use it for astrophotography.
Sony 20mm F1.8
My wide angle prime lens which comes out when I am in tight spaces or want to shoot a wide scene.
The 1.8 aperture also is perfect for creating depth of field, astrophotography, and low light shooting.
Alongside being small and lightweight, the lens is incredibly sharp and the starbursts are incredible.
It complements my Tamron 28-200mm very well and means I only ever have to take two lenses travelling.
Tamron 35-150mm F/2.0-2.8 Di III VXD
This tank of lens comes out whenever I am shooting professional video or photo work.
It’s insanely sharp and a very versatile lens which is as good as the Sony G-Master range, but at fraction of the price.
It has a f/2 aperture at 35m and holds a F/2.8 aperture throughout.
The only drawback is its size and weight. It is 1.16kg, 18cm long, and 9cm wide.
For this reason, I tend to avoid taking it on hikes and away on trips.
Dji Mini 4 Pro
An incredible drone which is my go-to when travelling or hiking.
It’s also the drone I’d recommend for beginners and solo content creators
It weights a pathetic 249g and can fold down to fit inside your pocket.
It also shoots 4k video footage up to 60 fps.
The biggest game changer is its ability to shoot vertical video footage, which is perfect for social media.
It has a respectable 34 minutes of flight time and can be recharged using a power bank.
It’s also got some great safety features including omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, alongside a return to home function.
The only draw backs are its small senor size, which can struggle in low light, alongside its light weight which means it will struggle in high winds.
That being said I have really pushed this drone to its limit and successfully flown it in crazy wind conditions.
I’d recommend picking up an official DJI spare battery so you’re not caught short when you’re out shooting.
I used to own the DJI Min pro 3, which is also an incredible drone and another one id recommned for Solo content creators.
DJI Mavic 3 Classic
This comes out for client work and anytime I’m shooting in high winds.
It has 4/3 CMOS 20MP Hasselblad Camera which produces incredible images with beautiful colours.
The main pull is its variable aperture, which goes from from F/2.8 to F/11, meaning you can capture sharp images, sun stars, and change your settings in flight for video work.
It also has omnidirectional obstacle sensing and a huge 46-minute flight time.
Its size and weight means it makes light weight of strong winds and can be flown in the worst of conditions.
Insta 360 X3
Is use this 360 Camera mostly for social edits and capturing unique angles.
It shoots 5.7K 360 video which can be exported into 1080p footage.
It also has 4k single lens mode and 1080p ‘Me’ mode.
The main draw of this camera is that it has an intuitive and easy to use mobile app which is perfect for social media edits.
The only drawback is if you are shooting a YouTube vlog in the 360 mode you then have to manually reframe the footage before editing it. This adds an extra layer of editing which can be a little time consuming.
An awesome and intuitive wireless microphone which I couldn’t vlog without. I have also used this for two person interviews and commercial work. It is expensive, but you do pay for quality.
First and foremost, it sounds great. It’s slightly smaller and visually more pleasing than the Rode Microphones and has some awesome features.
It’s got a touch screen display and comes with a neat storage case which also charges both the mics and receiver.
Each microphone comes with a magnetic clip, a wind shield which actually stays in place, and has 15 hours of back-up internal recording.
The internal recording means it is perfect for voiceovers. The microphones also have a USB-C port so it can be plugged directly into a pc or laptop. From there you can drag and drop the audio recording across with zero fuss or problems.
There are cheaper alternatives out there but this microphone is definitely worth it if you are serious about creating content which sounds great.
Sony ECM-B1M Compact Shotgun Microphone
A expensive but incredibly small and powerful microphone packed with amazing features.
Cable and battery-free connection which runs off the hot shoe
offers three switchable directivity patterns: super-directional, unidirectional, and omnidirectional.
Control dials and switches alongside and an auto feature which makes recording audio much easier
An accessory which I resisted buying for so long due to its cost, but I now I can not work without. It would be the top of my list for accessories for content creators who work in the outdoors.
It is an invaluable piece of equipment which enables you to quickly mount and lock your camera to your backpack shoulder strap so that is is instantly accessible.
You can connect/disconnect your camera with the press of a button meaning you can have access to your camera in matter of seconds. The base plate is also Arca-Swiss compatible meaning it can be used with any tripod.
The clip is very sturdy, reliable, and is yet to let me down. I used two of them when documenting my 8 day trek up Kilimanjaro
SIRUI Compact Traveler Tripod - This is what I use for travelling, vlogging, and Astrophography. It weights 1kg, has a maximum height of 160cm, and folds down to 33cm, so I can easily fit it inside my backpack or the side pouch. It has adjustable 5-section aluminium legs with quick release twist-locks. Meaning you can adjust the height in seconds. It also has a 360° Ball-Head which is compatible with 1/4" screw quick release plates.
K&F Concept Variable ND Filter ND 8-128 - Essential for video work as it allows you to control the amount of light entering the lens. This allows me to shoot video in brighter conditions, at the correct frame rate, and at a lower aperture. I prefer a variable ND filter as it’s less restrictive and allows me to work freely in changing light conditions. I opted for the screw on filter but you can get magnetic ones.
Lexar Professional 1667x SD Card 128GB V60 - For video work I use SD cards which are SC10, U3, either V60 or V90 class. The V60 or V90 are essential for capturing 4k footage above 30 FPS. I usually opt for opt for 128gb cards as they are good balance between size and price. For photography work I will opt for a cheaper V30 class card as that is all I need. I own half a dozen cards as I never want to run out of memory and I am constantly giving my cards to clients.
Pro Grade MicroSD card 128gb (V60) - These are for my drones and Insta 360 X3. The V60 class cards are expensive but are essential for shooting 4K at 60 FPS and for my Insta 360 which shoots at 5.7k. If you do not shoot at high frame rates in 4k or at 5,7k then you only need a V30 class card.
Spare batteries - Another essential bit of kit. There’s no worse feeling than running out of battery while out shooting. I opt for the third party batteries as they are much cheaper and come with a external charging device.
Rocket Blower and Lens Cloth - Priceless pieces of kit which cost a minimum but are always in my camera bag. The rocket blower is key to keeping dust of my sensor when changing lenses. the lens cloth is great for cleaning dirt and water of the front of the lens.
QUECHUA 30L Hiking Camera Backpack - A recent purchase which I absolutely love. Best of all it only costs £70 which is a steal.
